Terms of Service

Placeholder scaffold — audit with legal counsel before publishing.

1. Overview

These terms cover the use of this website and any booking or reservation request you send through it. Making a request through this site means you accept these terms. TODO: replace with counsel-approved wording that names the operating entity and its Kenyan registration details.

2. Rooms and stays

Room prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings and are per room, per night, unless stated otherwise. Rates published on this site are indicative and may change; the confirmed rate is the one our front desk sends back to you after you submit a booking request.

3. Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 12:00 PM (noon). Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early arrival is accommodated where a room is ready; a late departure is at the front desk's discretion and may attract a charge.

4. Payment

All rates in KES and include 16% VAT + 2% catering levy. Half-board and full-board meal plans available on request. Pay on arrival — cash, M-Pesa and card accepted. We do not take card or M-Pesa details through this website.

5. Cancellation and no-show

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before check-in After that window, the first night's rate is charged on arrival. A booking held with no communication is treated as a no-show 4 hours after the check-in window opens and may be released. TODO: confirm the exact no-show policy with operations before publishing.

6. Restaurant reservations

SOY Restaurant & Cafe operates daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Reservations are held for 15 minutes past the confirmed time; after that we may release the table. Menu availability, pricing, and prep times may change without notice.

7. Guest conduct

We reserve the right to refuse service or ask a guest to leave if their behaviour endangers other guests, our team, or our property. Damage caused to a room or its contents is charged at the cost of repair or replacement.

8. Liability

We take reasonable care of items placed in-room; valuables should be kept in the in-room safe (where available). We are not responsible for personal belongings left in public areas. TODO: have counsel finalise the liability, indemnity, and force-majeure language for your jurisdiction.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute arising from your stay or reservation will be resolved in a Kenyan court of competent jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is the one published on this page. Material changes will be flagged with an updated date below.
